Hi,
I am interested in the macaque toolbox which is introduced in the manual. But when I use “lead macaque”, the pop-up window is not changed. And, when I type “ea_checkinstall(‘macaque’)”, nothing happens.
How could I do?
Best,
Xiaoyu
Hi Xiaoyu,
I am afraid the manual is not updated regarding the macaque toolbox. But if you have subscribed our newsletter, you probably already got noticed that we introduced a new “Space” function in LEAD, with which you can easily switch between different spaces, including the MNI Macaque space or even your own customized space. Just click the “Space ” menu you will see all the options in the “Change current space to” submenu. It will download the needed dataset automatically if not present.
Best,
Ningfei
Hi Xiaoyu,
as Ningfei said, sorry for the outdated manual.
We used to have a proper “macaque toolbox” in the past but now generalized the workflow in lead-dbs to be (in theory) able to work in any stereotactic space you want. One could even easily add a mouse or rat space (although I think noone did that, so far). The macaque space we provide (via web-download from within the space menu in Lead-DBS) is the macaque MNI space. [You could more or less easily add a custom macaque space if you prefer so.]
So as Ningfei said, you can download the macaque MNI space from the space menu. Now we both don’t do any macaque research and probably can’t help much with macaque-specific questions. Officially, the group of Béchir Jarraya at Neurospin in Paris use and support the macaque part of Lead-DBS (you could mail to Jordy Tasserie for questions).
Hope this helps and hope it works!
