    Hello everyone!

Thanks for the previous help I have received, and for answering so fast to all of the questions.

I have a question regarding the VTA files that are generating in the Lead DBS toolbox. From what I could read from the manual the ea_stats.mat contains the information about the different stimulation simulations, and there are also different nifti files generated in the stimulations folder. I am not sure on the difference between the different nifti files, could you let me know where can I find more information about it?
Also, if I wanted to export the information obtained from the VTA to use it in another program, which files or information would I need? Would the nifti files be enough? Or should I looked into the ea_stats.mat?
Is there anywhere where I can look into this type of information?

    Thank you very much,
    Maria

    Hi Maria,

vat_right.nii is the right VTA in MNI space.
vat_efield_right.nii is the right E-Field in MNI space.
vat_efield_gauss_right.nii is the same but “gaussianized” with the ea_normal.m function (see van Albada 2006).

You don’t need the ea_stats.mat for anything outside of Lead-DBS.

    Best, Andy

Thank you very much Andy for your quick response.

Is there any way to calculate the VTA in native space? Or transform the vat_right.nii to native space?

    Kind regards,
    Maria

Yes of course Tools -> map file from template to anchor space (then it will be in the space of anat_t1.nii).

    Best, Andy
